The Atlanta Braves will try to carry the winning momentum into New York tonight at Citi Field where the Braves open up a three game series with the New York Mets. Atlanta 28-18 posted back to back sweeps with a six winning streak outscoring opponents 34-16 in that stretch but now must improve in their road play where the Braves have dropped 13 of 19 this season with a .152 average with Runners In Scoring Position. New York has struggled at home however with a 9-15 Home Record and are looking to avoid a 7th straight home loss tonight and have lost 11 of 13 at Citi Field overall and have been outscored 36-14 in last six games at home. Medlen is 1-5 3.02 ERA and has the second lowest Run Support in MLB at 2.38 Runs Per Game. The Braves have lost seven of Medlens last starts however Medlen is 1.47 ERA in three starts vs. New York. Medlen allowed one Earned Run in seven Innings Pitched last time out but did not factor in the decision. Hefner is 0-5 5.00 and New York has lost all of Hefner's eight starts this season. Hefner allowed four Runs in four Innings Pitched last time out and in his only matchup with Atlanta allowed five Runs in three Innings Pitched. Evan Gattis has 10 HR's 27 RBI's on the season and Atlanta must find ways to keep Gattis in the lineup. Ike Davis is mired in a 1 for 38 slump and Wright and Murphy are 4 for 30 vs. Medlen. This series will be a test of Atlanta's overall present game to prove if Atlanta can get the job done in opponent ballparks. The key to that success will be Run Support for starting pitching and improving and capitalizing on opportunites with Runners in Scoring Position. Source: ESPN MLB Preview.

New York only averaging 2.33 Runs Per Game at Home and allowing 6.0 Runs Per Game at Home. The last time Mets scored more than four runs in a home game was April 24th 2013. Atlanta is 1-5 SU Last 6 Road Games but 13-3 Last 16 vs. Mets. Braves are 5-1 SU Last 6 Road vs. Mets. New York is 1-4 SU Last 5 and 0-5 Last 5 Home. The under is 6 of 8 in Met games overall.

Gattis not in Braves Lineup tonight according to MLB starting lineup internet page. Ankiel, Duda and Buck are the Braves killers and Medlen will have to make them priority outs tonight.

Like Upton Brothers and Heyward's speed and range in big Citi Field outfield. Braves defense can do much for Medlen's confidence as he tries to overcome his losing slump. Medlen has to trust his defense tonight and Braves defense must deliver for Medlen. Ankiel and Duda are historically Braves killers and Buck has had success this season. Medlen cannot afford to mess around with these Met's Batters. McCann, J. Upton and Fransico in lineup tonight for Atlanta so getting men aboard will be key before the big sticks come through the lineup. Today the focus will be Atlanta -1 -127 looking for Atlanta to carry some of their offensive momentum into tonight's road game vs. Hefner and Atlanta's trend is this matchup overall. Atlanta Team Total Over 4 -130 rounds out the evening.

Congrats on killing it this year so far on the Bravos, very disciplined sticking to one team. However, I do respectfully agree, as I've made a nice chunk fading Medlen this year or taking the over in his starts. Even though we've had success against the lowly Mets recently, I feel the price is too high for the Braves on the road and have to continue to fade Medlen here.
