baseball was the best , keeping stats. Some days coming home from school, couldn't wait to play. Probably caused me to make wagers

At one time I knew every single player on every team from the 1977 MLB season because of that game. 11 yrs old at the time. I must have whispered out loud ... "long drive - deep left field - it's OUTTA HERE" - about a million times.

The advertising in the back of comic books really got me as a kid. I was sure that little human players would be inside the box.

Good times. Used to play a game called "Pursue The Pennant' as well in the 80's ..which I thought was even better

that advertisement was great. seems like the back ads from a Street and Smith magazine or a comic book.

I'd order new teams as soon as available, rush home to check the mail, The package was there, I was a happy camper. My parents too, they heard that dice rolling, they knew what sonny was doing.

Great game! Played into the wee hours of the morning during summer, created about a 40-game schedule for every team.

Those games are great. Anybody else remember All-Star Baseball with the spinner? I'm old..also played APBA. Great times! I can still see my mailman bringing APBA baseball to our house and that was in 1967.

Played strat-o-matic for years, even as an adult. I remember when I got my first PC in the early 80's. I devised a program that allowed me to automate the game. Still, there was nothing like rolling the die . . .

The greatest game ever. Never did my homework because I was playing the 55 Yankees vs 69 Mets or other mathups
