The suspended MLB game for rain between the Atlanta Braves and the New York Mets will be concluded and begin approximately an hour before tonight's scheduled game two which has a start time of 7:15 EST. Game one is tied at 5-5 and will begin in the top of the ninth inning. Mike Minor will draw duty for Atlanta is game two and is 5-2 2.78 ERA. The Braves have won the last three of Minor's starts however Minor has a career 5.63 ERA vs. Mets and 1-1 8.04 ERA at Citi Field. Gee is 2-5 6.04 ERA with a 2.55 ERA in four starts at Home compared to 9.97 ERA in five Road starts. Gee has failed to pitch further than the fifth inning in his last four starts and will look to make Freeman a priority out tonight. Freeman has hit eight career HR's vs. Mets and career .316 six HR's and 21 RBI's in last 15+ games in this matchup. Source: ESPN MLB Preview.

I think we have better pitching matchup in game two vs. last night with Minor's excellent past three starts and Gee's numbers at Citi Field. This is a different Mike Minor than in years past in this matchup. The winner of the shortened game can either be a Braves seven straight win or Mets first win at home in seven games. More to this first game than meets the eye to carry over into tonight's contest.

Braves get two runs in the top of the tenth and here comes Kimbrel. 7-5 Atlanta and it may be be night night nurse for the Mets.

7-5 Final Atlanta gets the win in the makeup game. The focus for Game Two will be Atlanta -1 looking for Minor to be sharp and Gee who has failed to go deep into games in the past four starts to possibly exit early and Mets forced to turn to shaky bullpen. J. Heyward Hits Runs RBI's Over 2 -120 for a Prop rounds out the evening. Braves looking for eight straight wins tonight and Minor has been Atlanta's best overall starter and should improve on his numbers in this matchup.

Not many if any HR's tonight with this wind blowing and gusting in at Citi Field. Now Mike Minor with his first career HR in the fifth wrapping it around the foul pole. 2-0 Braves as the pitcher helps himself in amost dramatic way.

A big inning for Atlanta as Heyward, Upton and Freeman add RBI's to accompany Minor's two run HR for a 5-0 lead as the side is finally retired. Gee should be gone next time out but Minor is still running strong. Hot damn Mike Minor with the HR I hear ya pal.
