did he essentially steal from the players by being an affiliate to one or more of the numerous failed books?

what's the truth as to why he's gone?

Who cares the place runs much smoother now. And I doubt it had anything to do with the proven thief and scam artist cory who was banned at several sites for good reason, and anyone who defends him is probably crooked too.

I think you just called 98% of the posters on this forum crooked.

I didn't mean to hijack your thread or any harm. I don't think wilheim was a bad guy, just that there is more freedom here now.

what do you mean what really happened?

Companies move on and change often enough all the time... was the leave planned when he was taking a leave of absence, probably.. but its the better way to go... and maybe it was mutual. I for one don't know but I really don't see it being a big deal. Wilheim obviously had other opportunities as well quite quickly so I doubt it was one sided.

I'd be interested to know how much this site grosses and nets. I really have no idea the economics behind it.

Of course, no problem there. But I've also read some conversations/rumors over time that Wil was involved as an affiliate and/or pumping unreputable shops. Was wondering if that's true and the reason behind both his departure and the severe traffic drop-off here.

Wilheim was kidnapped by Somali Pirates while traveling on an RSVP Cruise ship and held for a $75 ransom, which the Rx refused to pay.

His whereabouts now still remain a mystery.

The guy was an asshole. Good riddance.

He was the Joey Crawford of the forum. Thought the attention should be on him instead of the understanding the posters made him and the site what it was.

I'm sure I said it somewhere up there ^^ -but yeah, agree with Defying... He always seemed like a swell guy. Figure maybe the only people who should really talk about him, at this point given he's not here to defend himself, are those who knew him in person.

Don't agree at all. The minute one of the RX posters had a complaint about an RX-sponsored book he either put them on post review or banned them. That's how he worked hard on behalf of the players? No, that's how he worked on behalf of the bottom line.

Posters warning posters about shady books and shady business practices is what this place should be about.

I agree with you. I had some problems from time to time over the years with a couple of books and I never got banned or put on post review. He always tried to assist the players. This is a business and over the years you see Mods come and go. We don't always get the real story that went on behind the scenes but there is no reason to blame anyone including Wil. He was okay in my book and I wish him well.
