what % of bills should guy pay while dating

any interesting topic that will probably get a wide range of answers. what percentage of bills for dates should i guy pay? once your offically a couple should the percentage rise or drop? how long once your dating should it be a true 50/50 split if it was not from the beginning. what are your thoughts

depends on the financial situation of both people...

If the guy is fine financially, I think he should pay nearly 100% of the time.... if she wants to pay for icecream or something... then great... but meals, particularly expensive meals, if the guy can afford to pay, he should....

100% - from the beginning until the end. I never think twice and it certainly doesn't bother me on any level. The only time thought is involved is when I choose where we are going so I can have some control of the final tab.

so if you go to a bar for drinks then eat dinner and end the night at the movies, you pick up every tab in every location? what about concerts, sporting events, trips out of the state etc?

bar, meal, movie - i pay.

a trip to vegas? I have paid for plane, hotel, meals. I do recall she insisted on paying for a few things during that trip. That was about 80% / 20% - - -or - - - 85% / 15% based on her insistence

i want a girl that enjoys being around me for me, not just someone that wants a free ride. in the beginning first few dates i dont mind getting everything, but if its progressing into something more long term, I don't think a 75/25 type a split is horrible at all. i know plenty of girls that will use and abuse guys if they know everything is free

tonight for example someone ive been dating for 2-3 months now well go to bar and then japanesse steak house from there. ill pick up the drinks and dinner bill and well end up seeing the hangover afterwards and she will buy the tickets. ill spend 100-120 probably and she will spend like 15-20 and i see no problem with that

I understand the "Free Ride" deal... but unfortunately this is the role the Man plays in a relationship.

unless the guy is broke and the girl makes a lot more money.. I've heard where the girl will pay

she offers to get stuff or sometimes ill just beat her to the punch and pick the much cheaper option of something if she wants to get something. were both in our 20's i make about double her, but i also have alot more expenses

the guy shouldn't think twice about paying 100% of the time.

If after 3 or 4 dates the girl should make an attempt to pay for something or get/make a gift for the guy.

The guy should always refuse to let the girl pay, but always accept the gifts.

If after 5 or 6 dates if the girl doesn't attempt to pay or give a gift, then she better be spectacular in bed and a +8 on the looks side.
