For me it was a Syracuse game this year at MSG. in this case, Tickets were a gift... but I still spent like $150 on shit.
Food, drink, program

last time I went to a Football game it cost me over $300 ( not including tickets )

IMHO, think it's best to stay Home and watch from the comfort of your own home.

over 10 years ago at the old Yankee stadium and I'd never go to another major league game again, at least in this part of the country. It was a bus trip maybe $60 for tickets and bus. I've been to a couple of AA games since.

It's too much of a hassle to go to NYC or Boston for a game from southern central ct, I'd never do it again been to Fenway and yankee stadium once, tickets and ride would need to be free to do it again, same for NBA, NFL, NHL.

The sport I miss is Jai alai.

bus is the way to do it from here to the yankees. As for the Redsox game I went to, I drove most of the way and took a train into the city, Boston is too fucked up of a place for non-native to drive there. I'm not a fan of cities with several million people, I like a mid sized city like colorado Springs with a few hundred thousand or a logical city like Vegas and an intelligent grid system.

hurricanes hockey game. Tickets 9 bucks each (seasons) parking 10. Didn't buy anything inside, rarely do.

Used to love live events, but would never spend the prices most people spend, simply not worth it.

Had pats seasons for years with a buddy, we never sat in our seats once, only went to a few playoff games in our friends good seats.

An nfl game is ok if it's a big tailgate or something with a bunch of friends you rarely see, other than that the worst experience in sports, and that's before you take in the cost.

2/23/13, JMU Men's Basketball, $11/ticket, 3rd row from court. I'm in their booster club so parking, pregame beers/food and halftime beers are all comped. Maybe $5-6 on sodas...$44 for 4 tickets, $50 total.

Dodgers free tickets from girlfriends work..

Before that I paid $5 for lower reserve tickets to Dodgers, good tickets.. Also parked for free outside stadium. So $5 overall to see a Dodgers game with a friend. $10 if you include my friend..

Dodger tickets are cheap..

Yeah like an annual event or something that is cool. Other than that I agree, it is especially worse from a Pats fan perspective because the location of the stadium. You basically have to make an entire day out of going there, get taxed every which way $ wise, its cold, a lot of bandwagon drunken idiots (not sure if its still as bad, but obviously the team becoming good gonna attract these types), etc

If your'e gonna eat and drink you can't beat the bang for your buck of a Wrigley rooftop. I remember I went once and it was literally 105 degrees. I think I drank about 18 Heinys and had 2 burgers and a dog. I used to be one of those that made it a point to make establishments regret offering me any sort of all you can eat/drink deal.
