It's been quite a few years since I was there, but I believe the entire grandstand is covered.

Yes, there's a Large Overhang ( Roof ) that covers just about all seats in the Grandstand and Clubhouse. But I have found in the past if you are up near the front rows, you could get wet.

If you are standing outside on the ground. Bring your Rain gear :)

Rain should be done by 2nd or 3rd race....make sure you don't bring anything fun with you and make sure you DO bring patience...a lil tip:if you can....handicap night before and put all your bets in for day as soon as u get there (I know an unreasonable request...)....but even on a NON triple crown possibility, you will still get 50k at Big Sandy...and most likely 49.9 k of them won't be the regular rail birds that actually know what do at the window....it's gonna be every jag off that goes to the track once every blue moon, betting #'s/colors/names/birthdays..etc...yelling at the break of every race for there $2 win wager on the Pink horse or the 4-5 favorite...not enough money to catch me ther on that day anymore...but have a good time...cheers

Another thing that sucks about the Stakes is that there is no simulcast betting. You can only bet Belmont.

where did you pull that one from? churchill, hollywood, finger fuck, and monmouth are all featured and if you have nyra acct. bet whatever you want..i'll be first guy in line to bash nyra but even they aren't that remedial to not offer other tracks than their own to wager on, on stakes day

Well the last time I went to The Belmont Stakes was in 2004 to watch Birdstone upset Smarty Jones Triple Crown bid and at that time there was only Belmont Wagering allowed where i was. Sorry for the misinformation. Wow cannot believe that it has almost been a decade.

Yeah...nyra has to offer up as much as possible in lieu of simulcasting during stakes day to bump up their on track handle
