Thats right, when certain web searches for words such as debt, stocks and portfolio are on the increase its usually a sign that the market is headed for a downturn,as found in a scientific study....In a new study scientists looked back at seven years of google trends data and collected data on 98 search terms such as gold, markets and unemployment.....They tracked the stock market from January 2004 to February 2011 and found the market moved either up or down, with the frequency of the financial terms Googled. What was also interesting was that by buying and selling stock, using Google trends data, produced greater returns then the buy and hold the undervalued stocks strategy,to the tune of over 200%.
