Are streak contests worth it?

Anyone ever have luck with one of these? Best I've done is 6 in a row at covers and 5 in a row at bookmakers.

They give you a freeplay after a certain amount of wins and $25k if you're able to reach 21.

But is it me or are these streak contests just a waste of time.

Depends what you consider a waste of time. I have some buddies that don't gamble but are always talking about their "Streaks". They get a kick out of it and it makes games exciting for them.

I guess it's harder for a degenerate to get excited about something like this but you're probably right....people who don't gamble probably enjoy it.

Haha, I love when buddies want to be $5 on a game with me. Unless its min $100 it doesn't even get me excited anymore.

Yeah, when you think about it gambling is pretty sad when winning $100 doesn't mean anything anymore.

It's a free game so worth a shot. Chances of winning a contest like ESPN Streak for the Cash or the MLB Beat the Streak are slim to none.

I hit 10 in a row once at covers so i won a hat. It is definitely not easy but 90% of it is discipline in my opinion. Of course you have to be able to pick winners, but most people cant just wait for a good play; they feel the need to pick something.
