The Atlanta Braves managed to put back to back wins together Saturday and Sunday to salvage a split with the Los Angeles Dodgers and now move on to a series with the San Diego Padres. Atlanta is 39-24 overall and have won 17 of 23 with 7 of 9 this month and will look to Julio Teheran to provide another quality outing. Teheran is 4-2 3.30 ERA and has made tremendous improvements after posting a 7.31 ERA in his first three starts earlier in the season. Teheran is 4-2 2.13 ERA in his last eight outings and coming off the best start of his career where he had career high 9 K's and was only four outs way from a no hitter vs. Pittsburgh. Teheran has 43 K's and only eight BB's in 55 Innings Pitched and will look to be efficent again tonight vs. San Diego. Marquis is 6-0 3.28 ERA in the last six weeks and has not won seven consecutive decisions since a career high 11-0 stretch in 18 starts in 2004 while with St. Louis. Marquis spent his first four years of his career with Atlanta and is 3-5 7.69 ERA in nine starts vs. his former team with the 7.69 ERA his highest vs. any NL opponent. Uggla is .193 but did have 2 HR's and 4 RBI's in the LAD series with Freeman continuing to contribute in clutch situations. The San Diego Pitching Staff is last in the NL with 6.6 K's per game while Atlanta remains first in the NL with 9 K's per game. San Diego has a 29-34 overall record but a 16-14 Home Rcord while Atlanta is back to a above a .500 Road Record at 18-17 after this past weekend. Atlanta is 4-2 SU last six vs. San Diego but 2-4 SU last six on the road vs. San Diego.
