We are surrounded by great cappera. But some guys make plays from 1-30 units a game. I personally wouldn't play a game wirh a low confidence and if you run systems as I do you should like each play the same.

My point is if you have 100 plays 50 10u and 50 5u and you lose 40 of the 10u and win 60 5u. You go 60% Yet you lose 100units when you could have made 20 units at 1u per play.

Im saying it just doesn't make sense. .. cap your plays run your systems and take the best plays and bwt the same amount on each and you will be happy.

I know saying MONSTER 10 UNIT PLAY Sounds good but who cares this ia about making $. My systems combined avg 54 units per season and I am not going to jeopardize that by making erratic bet amounts. It can bring nothing but trouble.

Just trying to help here and pass along some insight.

Goodluck to all with your plays whether its 1u or 100u!

I think flat betting makes the most sense perhaps with an occasional larger bet thrown in just for additional action, which is what many guys want. Consistently playing some bets at 2,3 or even 5x the amount of your smaller bets generally doesn't work and I've seen very little, if any, evidence over the years here of guys consistently hitting a higher % of the big plays vs their small plays. IMO there are some guys on here who want to be seen as good cappers and and like to play varied unit amounts and often increase these during a particular sports season. If they get lucky and their larger plays hit more often, they are then on here telling people how many units they won, even if they aren't hitting even 50% of their plays. Over time, they will usually end up hitting the same % of big plays vs small plays but over a short season like NFL or NCAA football, they may get lucky and hit their big plays and show large unit wins. One guy who no longer posts and was very popular here years ago, would post mostly 5 and 10 unit plays in the beginning of the season and then post some 25 and 50 unit plays later in the year especially if he was down.

I know exactly who you are talking about. I remember you from back in the golden days when I was on here as Parlayallday.... Any pro bettor bets 1 Unit per play or flat bets... It just isn't feasible to make 1 bet bigger than the other. Of course I come across no brainers where I want to go BIG but still discipline is the key in betting and keeps me grounded. I believe if you want to make a profit in any sport you grind it out 1 unit at a time and if you are any good you will return a profit at the end of each sport season. I for one do best in MLB in other sports I still bet 1 unit but that unit is much smaller than MLB. I have a bank roll and I wager a small percentage of it per play and you will find out any successful bettor does the same. The guys with the 20UNIT GOY are a joke and won't be around for the long haul...

If you want someone to follow pick a guy that does 1 unit per play and has made a good profit doing so, he is the true solid capper.

Thanks for your response-

Singles, Doubles, and a Very select Triple's. The grind will eat up most flat bet players.

How do you figure? If you use a solid system for betting and stick to it and stay disciplined a flat bet always works well. How can you possibly say that erratic bet amounts will last longer than flat bets. Ive been a flat bettor for the past 6 years and steadily make a profit each year by being disciplined. Its easier as I get older.

Your logic makes perfect sense but for whatever reason some guys want to be seen as big shots and post lofty records and plus units when they win. When they lose, they stop posting their record. As I've said before, a guy may get lucky and hit his big $5k or $10k play in the short term, but over the long haul, flat betting is far and away more logical.

GL to you. Nice call on the Mets under today as well.
