[h=1]UPDATE: Wendy's "T-Rex" Burger Now Extinct[/h] June 14, 2013 at 9:45AM by Kiri Tannenbaum | 37 Comment
Update: Wendy's headquarters has put a stop to the sale of T-Rex Burgers. The Consumerist reports that after an image on Reddit of an add for a T-Rex burger went viral, Wendy's officials got word of the massive burger and stepped in, asking individual franchises not to sell the 9-patty burgers. "For obvious reasons, Wendy's of Brandon neither condones nor promotes the idea of anyone consuming a nine-patty hamburger in one sitting," stated a Wendy's employee.
First there was the 5-patty Whopper in honor of Burger King Japan's 5th anniversary. Then came Steak 'n Shake's 7-patty steakburger. And now the Huffington Post reveals there is a secret 9-patty burger at Wendy's.

The "T-Rex" is not offered at all Wendy's locations. According to the Huffington Post, the 9-patty burger is only available at one location in Brandon, located in Canada's Manitoba province. Its origins are quite odd. The "T-Rex" originated out of a fictitious advertisement that once appeared in Sports Illustrated magazine nine years ago. The ad featured the burger and caught the attention of many hungry Canadians who requested the sandwich at the Brandon location. The management agreed to sell the mammoth sandwich and continues to do so today at a price of $21.99.

One Reddit user posted an image of the poster for the unusual burger, which garnered more than 900 comments in 24 hours. IForgotWhoIAM suggested the sandwich comes in a Baconator version. LightningNinja2 replied, "Add 3 pieces of bacon per patty. 27 total pieces of bacon. 2.24lbs of beef... I am having a heart attack just doing the math on this…"
Do you want Wendy's to introduce the T-Rex burger in the U.S.?

Never heard of that burger. Is (was) that for real?

How did I know you would be the First one in this Thread )^&&

Yeah it was Real... but Not for the Chain. The owner of that location made and promoted it... They weren't allowed to make up their own Sandwich.
