I love the movie theater. I would watch every movie there if I could, particularly now that these theaters have comfortable big seats... Saw that somewhere in Denver has full out recliners... The sound how it just rocks your soul, and the huge screen just draws you into the movie even more.. man, i'm shocked so many people feel this way.

Would you rather watch a movie at home or in the theater? Why?

Summer action blockbuster flicks I prefer the theatre for the sound and escape from heat. Anytime else i prefer home setup. First trips to theater this year will be World War Z and Pacific Rim.

I enjoy the theatre. I haven't seen anything besides kids movies there in about 3 years though. Movie popcorn is the best......I was actually trying to figure out something to do with my daughter tomorrow night and this thread gave me the idea to take her to see Epic!

15- 20 years ago there would have been no choice, now there is alot better one watching a movie from home.. Alot ways to get out of the house, going to a movie theatre is not a high priority.. not only that, not to many movies out there that are must see that I can't wait for..

Only thing that would get be in a theater is if I were single and it was a date situation with the expectation of getting laid after the movie.

The home movie theater experience has grown to such a whole new level in the past 10 years that I'd have to say yes, count me in as part of the home movie crowd. Sound systems, television screens, furniture seating, it's all about home entertainment and it continues to get better and better.

I agree, especially since I hate the theater, but if it was her idea, I'd do it. I think a comedy club would be a lot better for one option.

I would go back to the theatre again if they let me bring in a six pack and my package of Orville Redenbacher's popcorn to stick in their microwave. But for some reason it's frowned upon in these establishments.

we have those trendy places up here where you can drink and order menu food items while watching flicks.. If this was brought up as something to do, I would do that if I didn't have a better idea..

No, but at least we still have a couple drive-ins left in town. Which to me is a much better movie going experience than the multiplex theatres that herd you in and out like cattle.

When I was a kid a friend of mine's dad owned a drive in theatre. Every Saturday night we would just walk in for free, set our lawn chairs up next to a speaker and then watch a triple feature. Movie experiences don't get any better than that.
