OT Transportatuion to Yankee Stadium

Will be attending Thursday nights game and staying at a hotel on the Upper East Side. What's the best way of getting to Yankee Stadium, Subway, bus, car (rather not with parking prices.

Stayed in Manhattan in late May. Went to the May 29 Mets/Yankees game at Yankee Stadium.

I was on 42nd St about 5 min walk west of time square.

Subway was definitely the way to go from there. Was intimidating at 1st as I never been on the subway (being from AZ). Had to switch trains once. But it was a piece of cake.

Came out of the subway right outside of Yankee Stadium right next to a McDonalds.
