Need a grill recommendation

Ok guys..summer is upon us and I've been researching grills ( both charcoal and gas). I don't care which one. Just looking for something not huge...something I can have on my back patio here in Florida.

I've looked at most brands and know weber grills are the best all around, but a little pricey

What are u guys using and have had good luck with ?

charcoal grill infrared

I don't know what it is about this infrared cooking but I swear everything taste better on it, particularly brats....

Weber kettle....ill never use anything else at the house

I'd say a Weber kettle, or the Performer /w gas-ignition... If not Weber, I've used Char-Griller's before - they come with cast-iron grates, which is nice (as with a Weber, they'd cost an additional $80 or so).

Dude do NOT get gas, come on.

If you can afford it the Big Green Egg is the only way to go. If not you must get a Weber kettle, period.

weber is way to go worth the extra $200-$300 , this grill wont rust and cooks evenly, starts fast,

I'm pretty sure after all the research and from this thread that weber grills are top notch. I'm probably going to snatch up a weber kettle and eventually get those graycort grill grates ( cast iron ).

If you can afford it....get a weber performer. Does the same fine work as a weber kettle except if comes with a cart with wheels, a hinge to hang your grill lid when off the grill, an electric start, a cool slide out waterproof bucket underneath to store excess charcol bricketes and an ash catcher that catches all your burnt ashes without tearing apart the grill to the core. Last I looked they run around $325. The Weber Kettle goes for around $79 on sale. And you want the 22inch grates. Trust me on this one. It's the Cadillac of charcol grills and worth every penny.

Good choice. Not the fanciest looking grill in the world but it is the best IMO. I like the size of it too. Most the fancy grills are just a waste of space to make them look pretty

My buddy picked one of those up at a swap meet for $50...sweet deal
