The Atlanta Braves and the New York Mets will begin a five game series tonight at Turner Field. This series will also include a double header for a rain makeup so each team will see plenty of each other over the course of the week. Atlanta 41-28 comes into tonight winning two 4-6 Last 10 after winning the series vs. San Fransico. New York 25-39 comes into tonight winning one 3-7 Last 10 dropping 10 of 12. Atlanta looks to improve on their 23 -8 Home Record where Braves starters have posted a 2.32 ERA. Hudson is 4-6 4.41 ERA and allowed three Earned Runs in seven Innings Pitched in last outing. Hudson is 0-2 1.66 ERA in three starts this month but thrives at Turner Field going 3-0 2.39 ERA in last six home starts all Atlanta wins. Freddie Freeman has become a clutch two out hitter with a .456 average with Runners In Scoring Position and will look to continue to rake in the RBI's in this series. Gee is 5-6 4.84 ERA and allowed one Earned Run in six Innings Pitched in last outing. Gee is 1.29 ERA with 26 K's and 3 BB's in a three start win streak. Gee is 1-2 5.60 ERA in last five starts vs. Atlanta. David Wright is .421 average with 2 HR's and 6 RBI's in a nine game hitting streak. Atlanta is .328 average with Runners In Scoring Position with 24 HR's winning 15 of 19 in this matchup with a 117-61 scoring differential and hopes to continue to improve on these numbers this week. Hudson with great home numbers vs. Gee with recent success should provide for a good pitching matchup for Game One of this series. Atlanta came up with outstanding defensive plays last night and will look to stay sharp in the field with glove tonight. The Braves and the Mets will see alot of each other this week so familarity may breed more contempt to an already existing old National League East Division Rivalry. Source: ESPN MLB Preview.

John Buck and Lucas Duda usually have good At Bats vs. Atlanta with David Wright always solid also. Freeman really delivering and BJ Upton finally on an upswing over the past few games. The focus today will be Over 7 -105 looking for Hudson and Gee to make mistakes tonight even with their numbers in this matchup. An against the grain hunch that we will see more scoring than most expect.
