I feel like everyone else started a thread tonight so I might as well.

Where to start?

Heat being badly outplayed for 3 quarters
LeBron dominating the 4th quarter on both ends refusing to lose as the Spurs were on the cusp of the title
LeBron choking away with 2 bad TOs in the final minute
SA up 5 with 5 mins left...Manu with a missed FT, then LeBron 3 off an offensive rebound, then Kawhi misses a FT, then the Ray 3 on the offensive rebound
Then the OT, that Manu drive for the title, Bosh blocking Parker and Green

I think I'm going to bookmark this post and read it 5 years later and be like I can't believe all that happened

wow

They were down 10 after 3, I think you know what I meant....

I know you are the semantics guy around here, but that is very obvious what I said

But they weren't badly outplayed for three quarters. They were badly outplayed for the 2nd and 3rd is all I meant. Great game.

This might upset the Spurs people here, but SA did get a lot of calls those first 3 Qs

Simmons just said on ESPN that has to be the closest anyone has come to winning the title without actually doing so...

I'd have to agree, how can you get any closer? Basically in a 95% spot in the final 28 seconds

Magic just said this was a top 2 or 3 game he has seen all time.

He is much older than me but given the stakes I'd have to agree. Definitely the most riveting given the stakes and all the twists and turns

I could care less but tuned in to watch. Does the NBA have any sort of standards in how the refs call a game. Consistant traveling and no call fouls seem like there is a hidden agenda. The last three pt attempt Bosh nailed Green with the body before he released the ball. That use to be called a foul. Really could care less about the game but if I was a fan of yhe NBA it would drive me crazy with the calls and how they vary. Maybe its called for the fans because the game was entertaining.

I think they should call fouls the whole game. I know a lot of people would disagree with me but I would love to see free throws win a game. I suppose it's like winning a soccer game on a penalty shot.

The Heat players were smart to mug Ginobli and Bosh was smart to foul at the end there knowing they wouldn't be called.

the bosh play wasnt a foul, and if you call that call for ginobili, you call the one for lebron when he was driving with danny green.

also, the reason why everybody whines about the nba and refs has to do with basketball being more subjective then the other sports. 2 people can be sitting next to each other, one cries foul, the other says what fou?

the bosh block at the end alone is proof of that. 50 percent of the people think it was fine, the other say it was a foul.

when you have that in play, everybody will get pissed at the refs eventually, which is why i dismiss the whole ref argument.

if you want no human element involved, develop a robot that can make the calls.

You mean the offensive foul on Lebron? when he pushed green with his off hand and green still got all ball? You're a complete fool.

This game reminded me a lot of game 6 of the 2011 World Series as far as drama and excitement, and a team so close to winning it all but couldn't.
