"I would like the hold the Special Poker Tournament for All and Only the guys that made a Donation a few weeks back, Next Tuesday Night."

This is confusing me...so there is going to be one next Tuesday for those who donated but the Thursday one tomorrow (and maybe any one thereafter) is for anyone? Also I am down for a cash game.

For the record and FWIW, I have absolutely ZERO issue with having a special tourney or whatever for those who donated. BUT, in that original thread and a couple others I have read some comments kind of looking down on people for not playing in that donation tournament. Personally the only reason I didn't play is I was out of town, I have played in at least one of those if not more. While I agree the overall turnout in that tourney was a bit disappointing, I don't think it's really fair to judge other peoples' choice to play or not play in that tourney. Some people can't afford to donate, some prefer to donate in other manners or to other causes, or maybe already did donate the amount of their choice to that cause. Also maybe some people (like me) just couldn't make it. We have had some free ones with pretty lame turnouts just cause it didn't work for a lot of the regulars. I guess what I'm saying is...I appreciate these tournaments for sure and love to play when I can, but don't like the insinuation that I am a greedy tight ass for not playing that particular night (not stated in this thread but like I said I have seen it in a few others). Again, have no problem with a special tourney for those who donated.

Not trying to piss anyone off here, just saying how I feel. Thanks again for keeping this going BAS.

Thanks for setting this up for tomorrow BAS..

Harry I agree that many people may have had reasons they couldnt make it. I simply think the turnout was quite low compared to other weeks and it made us all look bad as a poker playing group of RXers. Hopefully in the future we can do something like that again. <><>

Don't think he's trying to judge...just a bonus for those available to play.

Bas is more than generous.

Agree 100%, I was referring more to some other things said in other threads. I have no problem with this...and BAS and SO (and other sponsors) are more than generous for doing what they do. I dunno, maybe it was my imagination. Whatever, like Murph said I'm sure that next time help is needed the RX poker folk would make a stronger showing. :)

Harry, Not picking on anyone.... and Not pointing fingers either.
I truly understand that their were Some that couldn't make it that night. ( for Whatever reason )

Yes we had a Horrible showing that night ! But I can't Force Anyone to Donate and Play. If you remember back in Nov.2012 when I held the Hurricane Sandy Poker night, we had a pretty good size group... it was nice to see everyone pitch in.
Then I held a Special Poker night for those that Donated. Money out of my pocket... ( which I do/ did every Other week )
So again, I want to hold another "Special" Poker game, with Money out of my Pocket. for those who kicked in.

This is just like when I'm the "Sponsor" and I say, You Must have Earned 200, 250, etc RX Points to Play and win the Prizes
I do it that way because I feel if I'm taking money out of my pocket, it should go to Posters that Post here Daily.. Weekly.. etc.
Not Guys that Only show up to play Poker. or Posters that Pop up once a Month.

I know the amounts are small, $50 here, $25 there... I think a couple $100 .... E-Gift cards, etc... That's out of my pocket. The RX doesn't pay me back... nor do I ask for it back.
My thinking is.... I had a couple of guys that Donated $10 each to play... there were still Prizes attached to that game... Just No Cash.
But I'm looking to reward them with a Special Poker Game.
Out of My pocket.

For those that decided Not to Play in the Donation Game... That's fine ... they were too busy that night... couldn't make it....maybe some Didn't have the money, etc.... That's ALL fine.

I think this Best Sums it Up .......Think of this "Special" Poker game as a Part II of the Donation game.
qualifies are The players that played in the first game. :)

and I'm not looking down at Anyone... I know some can't afford to Donate, and others just simply couldn't make it.
I was only upset we couldn't do a better job. I guess because we did a decent job with the Sandy
one... We got like $600 for Sandy, and only $60 for Okl.

Anyway..... We still have a Game to play Tonight .... I'm taking Everyone Down :)
