What's the difference in strategy for you?

Why does one person game translate well live but not online, and visa versa?

Which do you prefer?

I can't get a feel for live. I like to know exactly how many chips everyone has in the tourney. I want to know average chip stack at all times. You just can't know those things in a live setting

The only reason I like a live game more is because I have CASH IN HAND at the end of the session. The current state of online gambling will reamin overrated for me until I can end a session and cash out via an ATM card. Yes, we could do it before... and maybe again someday. Until then, there are just a bunch of thieves who can decide to pay or not pay.. or slow pay... or whatever the F else they want with our money. In a casino, I can stand up, cash out and go enjoy the spoils. Online, some fat fker in another country can go enjoy the spoils of my deposit if he wants.

Yea.. I am just ranting. But fk it... what else is more important than cash in hand. nothing

Ok, regarding the OP : strategy...

I am more aggressive online with my play. In person, I tend to be tighter and more of a grinder. Of course if there is a HUGE pot - I would prefer to see the other guy before I take any actions. Most of my reading of other players is based on style of play. Guys in person and online tend to do the same things over and over, so I can make notes online very quickly and refer to them later. A huge pot... i would like the added luxury of seeing mannerisms. I think I do pretty much the same both online and in person...
