The Pelicans may have a chance to go a second straight year picking No. 1 in the NBA Draft.

The Cleveland Cavaliers, according to Alex Kennedy of HOOPSWORLD, have reportedly offered the first-overall pick to New Orleans for point guard Greivis Vasquez, this year's No. 6 overall pick and a 2014 first-round pick.

Last year, the Pelicans, then known as the Hornets, took Anthony Davis out of the University of Kentucky with the first-overall pick after winning the draft lottery. It is widely expect that Nerlens Noel, another freshman star from Kentucky, will be the first off the board in Thursday's draft.

Will Noel also begin his professional career in New Orleans like his 2012 Wildcat counterpart?

The Cavaliers have not confirmed the reported trade offer and the Pelicans deny receiving any offer.

That's pretty wild. And if you're a Cavs fan, this is our time, baby. THIS IS WHAT WE LIVE FOR!!! Been waiting for these next few hours since about 15 games into last season.

Love the nba draft cause of all the craziness... There are always future stars to be drafter, just need good GMs to find them. I expect a ton of movement tonight.

We would never take that offer.

Stay at 6 and take Burke or the McLemore
Heck or maybe even Noel.

They would be idiots to trade next years #1.
You take yourself out of the running for wiggins or parker? Yeah right.

Then you trade your starting PG on top of that?

This trade has exactly a zero percent chance of happening.

Foxsports Ohio is reporting the Suns offered #5 & #30 for the Cavs 1st round pick. Say they really want Noel.

like I said, why trade up to #1 to get Noel at 1, when we can get him at 6
