Many years ago this used to be a hot spot to go but what's the attraction of this town? It's out in the middle of nowhere.

I never quite got it as getaway/ Springbreak type of place when I lived in SD in the 80's. I'd rather be in SD or a Fla beach city if I were college aged or Mexico, etc. It is in the middle of nowhere. Vegas would be better than Palm Springs....but not really the college spring break place....Florida works fine for that.....unless you are 50 !

That Video is real bad... lol

anyway.. back in the day , as late as the early/mid 90's you could find a few Wiseguys that would travel there with their GF's
I believe there were even "Meetings" back in the day

from the look of that video, they don't have much to offer

I dont live far from from there and I cant speak for everyone but its nice to get out of the city and busy life of LA. Palm Springs is simple, relaxing, slow paced, not much going on there. If thats what your looking then thats the place to go. If you not looking to just relax then this place sucks and is really boring

A lot of rich Angelinos would retire here. It's warm and dry so it's good for the elderly. Plus it's close enough to their business or family back in LA that it doesn't take long to drive to.
