I'm going to fade the White Sox til august 4th.

Here is their schedule:

3 vs Balt
3 @ TB
1 makeup game vs Cubs
3 @ DET
3 @ PHI

ALL STAR BREAK

3 vs ATL
4 vs DET
3 vs KC
4 @ CLEV
3 @ DET

White Sox stats this season:
26th in runs
22nd in team BA
27th in team OBP %
28th in team SLG %
27th in team OPS
28th in total bases
27th in home BA (.238)

Pitching:
16th in team ERA 4.01
22nd in team away WHIP 1.35

I don't think the White Sox's morale is very good.. They are 10.5 games away from 1st place, player trades are discussed daily in the media..

The lineup has no .300 hitter, one .280 hitter, one .260ish hitter and everyone else is .250 or less.
Lineup isn't very good at getting on base either, 27th in league.

The middle of the White Sox lineup (3-4-5) are hitting .235 this season? thats right, .235 ba!

Other than Sale the rotation is very average. Peavy still out for a little while longer and the other starters are slightly above average to average..
CWS strength is their BP but if you aren't scoring runs that could only help you so much.
CWS really isn't doing anything good and even with Sale pitches they end up losing and he has been magnificent.

White Sox are terrible on the road
15-28
34%

White Sox are a horrible 9-17 in their division and they have yet to face the Tigers.. During this stretch they play the Tigers 10 times

white Sox have a diff of -52

These are the reasons why I feel like fading the White sox will be profitable for the next 30 games.

Gyno, Sir I thought I was the only one who hated the White Sox :)

I was thinking to myself yesterday those clowns are unbettable.
But the fade makes their games now perfectly bettable and profitable.

Gyno, always enjoy your post and contributions both here and across the street.

The White Sox fade to the pay window. So let it be spoken. So let it be said.

One other note/observation about the White Sox from foolishly shading them a couple
or so times over the past week both on the -1.5 run line (stop laughing at me) and also
on the money line.

As a Seattle Mariners follower I have seen some of the worst offensive displays ever over the
past decade. Some so bad they can not be described or articulated in a way that would do em
justice. But the White Sox are about as close as I have seen to some of the great Mariner low
lights. When the batting coach looks suicidal thats not a good sigh. Seen that look of despair
in the eyes of many Seattle batting coaches over the years.

Funny you mention Seattle. They are the 2nd team I'd consider fading..

If King or Iwa aren't pitching they look like a very unattractive team.

I personally don't like thus thread since the White Sox are my team.....BUT.....I think u got a good thing going here Gyno and u will come out in the positives when all is said and done. Best of luck! I wish I can fade my boys everyday, but just have a hard time rooting for them to lose. That's not a die hard fan =)

I used to be on that philosophy as well with the brewers, but I've come to the consensus that if my favorite team sucks and I'm still gonna watch them I might as well make some money from their crappiness

Nice job. You always seem to find the right spots to fade. Good luck the rest of the way.
