Mom and my uncle are from Tarentum... I remember going seeing Van Slyke, Bonds, and I think a young Tim Wakefield, play the Braves in the NLCS when I was a kid...

Won't be attending the game tomorrow, Phillies fan but I enjoy watching the Rats. Preferred them when they were bad, however.

Beautiful campus.

has come a long way buddy. when i arrived in '07 they were in the process of rebuilding all of the dorms and a lot of campus buildings. if you haven't seen it in awhile you wouldn't believe it.

Ok, I have to chime in negatively. I know the Phillies announcers are nothing to write home about, but these Root Sports guys are HORRENDOUS. Cringe-inducing. Some of the least knowledgeable baseball talking heads I've listened to, personally.

not much of a baseball fan since sid bream missed home plate in '92 but even I have to give it up to Jeff Locke. never heard of the guy in my life and will be sitting at 8-1 2.12 ERA after tonight. really incredible stuff out of him...wherever the hell he came from

He pitched well tonight. And he's certainly been pitching well all year. I haven't formed much of an opinion about him as I've only watched one or two starts but even so, the Pirates announcers pining for him to be starting the AS game (it's meaningless and a popularity contest) over someone like Matt Harvey or Adam Wainwright is asinine. That's not to take anything away from Locke, but Harvey looks like late-80's Clemens when he takes the mound and Waino has top 5 stuff in the league, easy. Or even over Kershaw, for that matter.

But Phillies are losing so I'm bitter.
