The Atlanta Braves have the best Home Record in MLB at 28-11 here in early July and will look to improve on that number tonight as the Braves and Marlins square off for game two of this three game series. Atlanta took advantage of some extremely sloppy Marlins defense last night that broke the game open in the middle innings and will gladly look to take advantage of anything the Marlins defense coughs up again tonight. Atlanta's Mike Minor 8-3 2.98 ERA is seeking his first win in three starts going 0-1 5.50 ERA in that time frame. Minor is 2-1 1.27 ERA in last four starts vs. Miami however and will look to have a quality outing back at Turner Field. Miami's Ricky Nolasco is 4-8 3.93 ERA and according to trade rumors may Nolasco's final start in a Marlins uniform. Nolasco owns the Marlins record in all time wins (80), Innings Pitched (1218), and Strikeouts (994) but because of the unlikelyhood of post season contention Miami is rumored to be shopping Nolasco. Nolasco is 5-10 vs. Atlanta the most losses to any team posting a 5.34 ERA in 22 starts in this matchup. Nolasco is 0-4 7.07 ERA in last five starts vs. Atlanta. McCann is .345 average with 7 HR's vs. Nolasco. Atlanta has now won eight straight games vs. Miami outscoing the Marlins 40-10. Atlanta has batted .348 scoring 31 Runs in a four game win streak and may be successful again vs. Nolasco with Nolasco's future employment questions lingering. Summer rains have been drenching many parts of the Southeast over the past few days and may play a factor in tonight's timeline. Gametime is scheduled for 7:10 PM EST but fans will have to see what weather developments occur over the course of the afternnon. Minor will be primed to get back in the win column and the Atlanta offense will be anxious to see what other errors the Marlins defense may provide. Nolasco is maybe stuck in the middle wondering where his career may take him next. Souce: ESPN MLB Preview.
