I'm going to play one a day for the rest of the season. That is unless on a particular day(s) I cannot find a single play...usually I have at least one that I like. These plays will be separate from my chase and big plays. I'll post them up here and keep track

Feel free to discuss or provide your thoughts on the plays as well.

I don't play totals, found some information elsewhere about this play. Sale in his last 5 starts has thrown 576 pitches, including 123 his last outing. Moore threw 320 pitches his last three starts, throwing more innings each outing. I know that both pitchers have been dealing as of late, doesn't the heavy load concern you? I'm not saying this is the game but something is bound to give with these types of work loads. Good luck today.

Thanks for pointing that out. Workload is something I definitely consider. However, both of these guys are young with strong arms and can handle it much better than an older or weaker pitcher. If it were late in the season, I would also put much more stock into this; however, we aren't even half way through yet and these guys shouldn't be gassed by now. This is just my opinion. Another consideration that is helpful is WSox run production and overall offense is just plain terrible and, although not a large sample size, Moore has faired well against the Sox in the past. Plus, Sale has done well against the Rays in the past. Both pitchers have looked really good so far this year. Seems like a decent play to me, but I could be wrong. BOL to you today!

nj wouldn't worry too much about it. Sale has thrown over 102 pitches in a game 24 times in his career and only 7 times in the following start did the game go over, 3/11 when starting away. in last 10 games he's tossed 103+ the under is 8-1-1 and all of those were in 2013

starter = Chris Sale and s:SPT > 102 and season = 2013
SU:5-5 (0.00, 50.0%) avg line: -122.0 / 112.0 on / against: -$152 / +$92 ROI: -11.7% / +8.7%
RL:4-6 (-0.60, 40.0%) avg line: -103.9 / -110.0 on / against: -$179 / +$122 ROI: -13.9% / +8.7%
OU:1-8-1 (-2.05, 11.1%) avg total: 7.5 over / under: -$750 / +$680 ROI: -71.1% / +59.4%

Hook-may I assume you are not playing as much on "daily play" as you do on the "Big Play"? Thanks.

Correct. I'll indicate when it is a big play, and I will keep the big play thread going as well. This thread is just something separate, fun to do.

I love the under with this guy on the mound in the right situations taking into account he deals and his offense is terrible. Get him in the right ballpark with the right conditions, and the under is usually a good play.
