I'd be tempted to drive if this was 2 or more people traveling, for a solo passenger....fly. You'd be looking at maybe $150 in gas each way ( at around 25 mpg) and a motel halfway through the trip ( say $50)....so $400 there not allowing anything for wear and tear on your car.

With a party of 4, you could drive straight through rotating drivers. I've driven more than 1,000 miles miles nonstop ( except for gas, food, bathroom)....but that was like 30 years ago....couldn't do it again now at 50 ish.
