What Type of Alcohol-Shots Do You Like Other Than Tequila

Ok so I'm not a big drinker, and used to never drink at all, but have since started to now & then with the girlfriend of the last year.

Regardless, I still find a hard time acquiring a taste for alchol, but kinda like tequila shots, probably because I like the lime with salt part of it the most.

What other types of alcohol do you guys prefer and suggest for taking shots?

The old standbys...

Sambuca (some hate this I LOVE it, it's like black jelly beans)
Goldschlager
Rumple Minze
Jager
Any type of red bull bomb
Irish Carbombs

Sambuca is really good too, same with Ouzo.

A good whiskey shot for a light drinker or women is Royal Butts (Crown Royal with Butterscotch schnapps). It tastes like warm butterscotch.

Sorry for my stupidity regarding this stuff guys, but are these types of shots taken solely by themselves, or require something like the lime many do with tequila?

Most people get the salt/lime with tequila, i prefer it ice cold by itself. Better quality, it should taste like water with little alcohol aftertaste.

Dislike tequila and rum for the most part... Jameson is my go-to. If I'm gettin' my fancy on, I'll get the Macallen , or similar.

Sambuca, Goldschlager, Jager, Rumple as a straight shot taken out of a shot glass (liquor should ice cold especially with Jager)
Bombs are mixed by nature

An Irish Carbomb is a shot of half Jameson half Bailey's dropped into a half mug of guiness and chugged. Delicious.

Oh I see you asking about garnishes aka training wheels. No none of these need any of that.

If you like tequila shots cause the lime and salt try a lemon drop. Chilled absolut citron and you use lemon and sugar. Coat the lemon in sugar, lick the sugar, take the shot, suck the lemon.

I have not met a shot I did not like as I am very fond of booze. If you want some pretty easy that tastes good. Mini beers are an excellent choice and it is just 43 (a Mexican liquoer) and heavy whipping cream equal parts. They helped close the deal for me on Friday night with a young lady who is way out of my league.

Another fun one for groups which is pretty male/female neutral -

lunch box - fill a glass about half way with bud/coors/miller/natty, add a couple shots of OJ, drop in a shot of amaretto and drink. Pretty tasty.

Why shots??

Why not order a well made mix drink? Personally if I'm socially drinking, which it seems that's the reason you drink, its MUCH easier to do carrying around a drink. sip on it here and there.. plus you don't get the question "why aren't you drinking 1000000s times"....

I honestly don't care, I order anything, no matter "how girly", I just enjoy a well made drink...

Watching UFC at Dave n Busters last night I ordered a Strawberry Watermelon Margarita, it was one of the best drinks I've ever had.... Bartenders are more creative than ever, more liqour flavors make it easier

If you care about the color, a well made mojito is very enjoyable, and a lot of time you can get fruit like blackberry, pomegranate ect..

If youre sticking to shots, Loveee these flavored vodkas. Like Whipped Vodka, seriously doesn't taste like alcohol.... just greatness

Also, Jager is a good choice.... And pretty much any bomb, flavored vodkas go great with redbull....

Tequila is my favorite liqour too..

Oh, and if you want to seem like your drinking, but not I highly recommend cranberry and redbull, everywhere will have, it, looks alcoholic, and very good.......
