Everybody wants to think they are in that 10% (or whatever the number is) that can beat the odds.
it's very enticing. Basically the odds are set but adjusted based on how others bet. Don't we all think we are smarter than
the average guy?

weird thing is I guess there are many Many answers to this question.

I know a guy who had to Lose at least $7Mil in the past 3 years, but he just Keeps on Losing !!
But of course at that Number, he is Rich guy.

Either he needs a new "Hobby" or start betting the other side of what he likes #%()

And to answer your initial question:
You made me believe that crap was beatable, so up to this day I believe I can overcome the odds when somebody offers odds on an under18 women basketball game between Madagaskar & Mali or some bushleague soccer game in the middle of nowhere in Norway...
In general just seemed easier & more fun than bum around at an office job for 10-12hrs per day, so why not at least have some fun: No risk, no fun, right?
