Ok a gimme could be a different word for lock, which we all know doesn't exist.

But for those who follow the this conference and college football closer in general, how strong is this wager?

I would say that Ohio St to win their division is a gimme ! No real ? about it that i can see.

The interesting thing is that Michigan "could" win their division even with 2 or 3 losses , so what happens if Ohio St has to play Michigan twice (in a row ) ?

Just going from memory here.

Ohio state had a lot of trouble with quite a few teams, and didnt Wisconsin get better when they made a change at qb?

yes, they did struggle in a few games. They averaged 64 yards more per game than their opponents, 4th in the conference and 34th nationally. It's really a small miracle they went undefeated. If they are a lock to run the tables, according to recent history, they have to improve by 100 yards. The average over the last six years for title game participants is 161 yards better than their opponents.

As the biggest OSU fan on here, I would say "Yes". However, with that being said, I don't believe the risk with worth the reward. I don't believe in taking favorites over -160 to -175. The only time I ever bet an over -300 favorite was a couple years ago, when for some reason the Hilton was stupid enough to put a line on the Nadal/Federer charity matches in in Basel and Mallorca. Roger won in Basel the first night, the next night in Spain, Nadal was -960. I pounded Rafa, despite being a large favorite, I equated this to a fix or predetermined outcome. It was large risk, but if you saw the previous day's match you knew that RF would be losing, as Rafa did the same in Basel.

The lock was last year with Wisconsin. My book still had em at -105 the day PSU went on probation.

Realiistically; no one should think it is impossible for Buckeyes to lose at That State up north; so if anyone, especially Badgers beats Buckeyes; they would win unless they have 3 conference losses...could happen; about 8-1 against, though
