It has rained here probably 40 out the last 45 days. Got a huge storm last night. Rained like a cow pissing on a flat rock. Several roads are closed from the swamps and creeks flooding.

Yup.. Heading to the beach in SC this weekend, resigned to hoping it just doesn't rain the entire time.

Just read an article in Laurens Advertiser; that South Carolina has received almost a years average of rainfall at the half point of the year; and still raining; but this will take the Upstate out of drought conditions.

Out of drought conditions and into a flood zone in my neiborhood in the Upstate. houses behind me have flooded 2x in the last 6 weeks. Bought this place new 5 years ago, and it's never came close to this level before...

It has seemingly rained every other day since Christmas of 2012. Very wet winter with not much snow and sleet with the warmer winter temps this year but much rain in return. Very wet spring also with seven straight days of rain at one point and now a very wet summer. Parents of school kids out on summer vacation who usually would love to have the teenagers get out of the house during the summer months to the community pool, ball or band practice or to the parks etc must be really starting to fell the stress of having the kids in the house so much. Yards and gardens are a constant struggle to kept mowed and weeded and sometimes you feel like you are just chasing your tail trying to keep up with the grass, gardens and flower beds. People are starting to really become discouraged with the rain ruining the summer and are wishing for a drying out period at least for a few days to accomplish some outdoor activites before the we might have to fight the rains again.

Yeah, in NW Ohio we have had a ton of rain. My baseball and softball leagues are rained out even if it isn't raining because all of the fields are soaked.

On the bright side, the corn is already about 7 feet tall, and you couldn't start a forest fire with a flamethrower.

We are in rainy season down here in CR and there hasn't been much rain at all. On the other hand the wife and kid were back in chicago for a few weeks and they said it was raining the whole time and cold.
