Look at the 53 second mark and watch how fast he gets down the court!

guy was a track star at Kansas, could sprint, high jump, even put the shot.

Best. Player. Ever. #2, whoever it is, is not close. Could do whatever he wanted on the court(except free throws). Led the league in scoring when he wanted to. Led the league in assists when he wanted to. Led the League in rebounds when he wanted to. AVERAGED over 50 points per game one season. Played 46 Min per game for his career. I always get a kick out of the Jordan guys, or the Kobe guys or Lebron, or whoever is the current flavor of the month as greatest ever. None come close to holding a candle to Wilt.

That's amazing how fast he could get up and down the court.

If he was 27 and playing right now, he would be the best center in the game.

To be fair you have to look at his scoring and rebounding numbers with a grain of salt as he played in a run and gun era. Game is way different now.

How old are you Archie?? There are no centers in the NBA now that compare to those that Wilt played against. The greatest physical specimen to EVER to play in the league, bar none.

wilt, like jim brown and cassius clay (ali) were ahead of their time athletically, maybe by 10-20 years.
no one can deny that athletes are far more athletic now than they were 50 years ago and these 3 that i mentioned
were the first ones in their sport to be so much better than their competition that it was a tremendous
mismatch. if they had been born 20 years later they still would of been great, they just wouldn't of
been that dominant.

that being said, wilt was the best i ever saw. i should also mention that i am a lifelong celtic fan.
wilt was basically unstoppable and uncontainable (even by russell). in an era that 7 footers only
were expected to rebound and clog the middle, wilt was so much more. the year he lead the
league in assists as a center, he was awesome to watch. imagine the threat of a player who once averaged
50 points per game with the ball using a motion offense revolving around him. trust me it was
impressive to watch and almost impossible to defend.

I'm not saying he wasn't a great physical specimen ect. It is just a fact that NBA teams took an outlandish amount of shots and played super run and gun ball back then.
