planning a weekend trip to saint louis with my girlfriend and looking for some advice on where to stay (around 150 or less a night) and what to do while in the city. well arrive early friday afternoon and leave sunday afternoon. so far were planning on going to a cardinals game friday night, but out side of that everything else is open. Things we have thought about doing: bar district, zoo, brewery tour, and maybe amusement park.

Go down by the river like C.P. suggested. The Arch Tour is well worth it. I loved it, and I promise you it is one of the weirder elevator rides you will ever take. I actually enjoy St. Louis a good bit. You could do the Anh Busch Brewery Tour too and also meet the Clydesdales....really cool.

Have fun and enjoy, kidman!

I get comped ...for my play there...going back in Sept...love the place...(if you go SIGN-UP for a card)

they do have a $500 bonus for first time players in you lose ( you gotta read the whole thing on their site)...

BEST Casino around that area for sure...

getting back to your point..the Crown Plaza is really nice...right in the middle of everything...

you can walk to the bb game..walk to the river, the arch...and the Lumiere is a 5 min ($10 cab ride)...

plenty to do there...I've been going for years now...

Enjoy yourself..it's a fun city...

As always, check out priceline for your hotline, combination of the information with the name your own price or express bidding.... figure out the amenties of the hotel your targeting by using the priceline "regular price search"... and also betterbidding.com I've used priceline name your own price/express bidding 50+ times... and only twice was I wrong about the hotel I was getting....

It's like handicapping.. digging through research until it matches up... can give ya more insight in how I do it if you want

regardless, have fun!

Check out "three sixty" at the top of the Hilton before the game. Good food, good drinks and unbelievable views.

go to Forrest Park - like STL version of Central Park. The Zoo is inside the park - zoo is free too, and actually a good zoo
City Museum - real cool place. a must if you have kids, but also cool if you don't
Arch Tour is ok, if there isn't a wait

as for Lumiere - depending on your style, i would not stay there, it's not really walking distance (because you potentially walk through a bad area) - so it depends if you will drive everywhere. i must have different taste than C.P.
