With much of MLB's eyes on the Boston New York rivalry series this weekend, the Atlanta Braves will seek to get back in the win column after the All Star Break against the Chicago White Sox. Atlanta may receive some good news as Justin Upton, Jason Heyward and Freddie Freeman may be healthy after the days off after some injuries kept them out of the lineup last week and should see playing time in this Interleague Series. Atlanta has 114 HR's on the season and these big hitters back in action should pay dividends as Atlanta looks for a good start to the second half of the season. Chicago is 13-31 since May 27th and 13 of 18 before the All Star Break but does hold 35-19 runs scored advantage during a five game winning streak vs. Atlanta since 2004. Hudson is 6-7 4.02 ERA for Atlanta and 2-3 last eight posting a 2.48 ERA. Hudson who struggled heavily with run support issues has received 15+ runs of support in his last two starts and has to wonder where this offense production was at in some of his other starts. Hudson has struggled with road outings as well going 2-7 5.19 ERA away from Turner Field and is 0-3 career at US Cellular Field in Chicago posting a 10.45 ERA the most in any ballpark. Adam Dunn is .355 with four HR's vs. Hudson. Danks is 2-6 4.31 ERA for Chicago and is has posted a 2.93 ERA in last four outings. Tonight's game time is a 8:10 PM EST start time. Atlanta looks to improve on their sub .500 road record and with Upton, Heyward and Freeman back in the lineup for this series the Braves looks to continue to provide Hudson the much needed run support that was absent in many of Hudson previous starts. Hudson's track history on the road at US Cellular Field is well known and the Atlanta starting pitcher will have to put that past in the past and come out tonight fresh and energized for the second half of the MLB season. Heyward and Freeman not in Atlanta lineup tonight but Justin Upton in uniform. Scoreless game very early after one complete inning.
