The Rx demographics are deep and varied. We have diverse ethnicites, age groups, professions. We have white collar, blue collar, unemployed and disabled. We have law abiding citizens and former felons. We have it all. Many people lurk and don't post at all. Sometimes they appear if a thread sparks their interest enough. They are out there though... reading.. for sure.

And so... in acknowledgment of this great diversity I would like to pose a question. It baffles me to no end and I really do not understand it.... at all.

For those Rx members who have EVER... in their lifetime - worn their jeans hanging low. As in below the waist, down around the knees sometimes - - I am really curious to know : How is it done? My pants will fall right the fuck off if I don't wear a belt around the waist. The end result of me not using a belt is the exact look I have my question about. If I am carrying a load of groceries in from the car and I haven't worn a belt.. there is a chance my pants will be hanging around my ankles by the time I get in the house. Not once have my pants stopped at my knees . And if they did... how is it possible to walk with them there? How does one keep the pants so low and yet be able to actually walk??? Is there a trick with the belt down around the knees ?

Question 2 in regards to this matter : What exactly is the intention? Is it a thug vibe? style ?

Believe me.. I have gone thru bad styles. I had a mullet in the early 80's and I think I might have even "popped" my collar on polo shirts a few times in high school. I can tell you I had the mullet for style as did 75% of my peers. Are hanging pants style? I really honestly 100% don't get it. Defiance maybe ?

Tell me man !!

bottom line is,the black race don't know how to dress, and the young white punks think its cool and follow in their footsteps, sometimes id like to just wack them in the back of the head for following such a degrading style

Maybe it's defiance. as in doing exactly what the rest of the world doesn't want to see? That's my best guess. How do the pants stay at the thighs or the knees? No belt I have ever worn would stop my pants right there and stay that way.

No idea but my guess is you have to walk kind of stupid to keep pressure on the belt line

Socal they have to walk a certain way and hope they dont have to run for any reason. No heavy objects heavier than cell in pocket.

Man... there MUST be an Rx'er that has done this. Too embarrassed to admit it. We have lots of guys in their 20's that appear once in awhile. We were all young and dumb at one time. I freely admit my former mullett and an occassional popped collar in the 80's. Come on man.. there has got to be someone who has done the half assed pants thing. Where you at yo ?

I would maybe try it out if my underwear were very expensive and I wanted to show them to the world. Diamond studded or platinum perhaps . But most of these clowns who do it are wearing a $2 pair of boxers.

I can't stand it.... Saggy pants originally started in prisons. Inmates clothing does not always fit well, it is most often too big, and they are not given belts because of suicide or hanging. Inmates also wore saggy pants to signify that they were willing participants. If you know what I mean.:bigone:

I wore pants like that in high school, 95-98 or so... Yeah, no heavy objects, if you run you're holding onto your pants with on hand. Not so much jeans, more skater type brands (jnco and such). It was actually sort of comfortable, honestly. I wasn't a wigger type though - but am a bigger guy, and at the time I relied on baggy clothes to feel better about myself... Also had green/purple hair.

I never understood it either. A few times my shorts have been loose and almost fallen down while i was holding groceries/bags, could have been a real disaster
