For the love of God please add new movies to your streaming library. I can only watch Bride of Chucky and Starship Troopers 2 so many times before I start hearing voices. Their movie selection SUCKS!

Have had Netflix for a couple of months now and have to say if you get it because you're looking for good movies, don't bother. There good for TV shows and that's basically about it. Movie selection is down right grotesque.

honestly at $8 a month I don't know how much more you should expect... when netflix tried to raise prices and people flipped, thought that was the dumbest thing.... it's a lot of entertainment for less than the cost of 2 movies at blockbuster back in the day, and this is in the convenience of never leaving home...

Problem is, I don't know that I find two movies a month on Netflix Streaming I want to watch. There are tons of TV shows -- that I would have watched on TV originally, if I had wanted to watch them -- but I'll add my voice to those who think the Netflix movie selection is bad.

I don't expect it'll change much. I read an article recently that seemed to indicate they see TV shows as the biggest driver of streaming usage. I, of course, think that's a flawed assumption, since users don't have nearly as many choices when it comes to decent movies on Netflix.

On a somewhat related not, there is a movie available on Netflix Streaming now called "Safety Not Guaranteed" that I recommend. It's a very odd movie, but I was surprised how very good it is.

Yeah, but with TV shows your talking $4 a disk, 4 disk a season, $16 a season to rent, so I would just buy them $20-50 per season depending...

Rewatching Scrubs with the wife now, if not I'd probably buy them....

Oh and if you need a bigger movie selection.. 2 disk out at a time, plus streaming is $20... steal IMO.

Good flick - saw it on the big screen. This is the type of movie that Netflix is good for, smaller budget films (be them foreign, indie, or just low-budget studio flicks). "The Vicious Kind" is another, although it's darker and more dramatic than Safety Not Guaranteed.

For people who are used to watching flicks that are in the top 10, or even top 25, at the box office, Netflix probably isn't particularly useful... But if you are willing to watch less popular (yet highly rated) films, then there's a bunch of good stuff.

Who signs up for Netflix just for the shitty streaming service?

Me.

I torrent most things, but sometimes it's nice to have Netflix for instant gratification... If it's just me, I can wait a few minutes to torrent something, but if I have company it's useful to not have to wait.

Anyone try Redbox and it's streaming? For $8 a month and free rentals seems like a better deal unless the streaming portion blows...
