This just happened yesterday.

When I click on a thread here at the RX and other forums it is redirected to another site.

Also I am getting pop-up advertising on the bottom of the page on many sites.

What is going on here?

Sounds like you have spyware on your computer. download Malwarebytes (free version) and run that. I am no expert though.

yikes.. do you have ad block plus installed?

I would do both of the above and then install ad block plus add-on

Absolute worse case you could restore to a date prior to yesterday (this would solve it to)

AVG Free. Seriously. This thing has been a life saver and this will clear up anything you might have. Now, if you remember around the time this started happening, you may be able to System Restore to a date prior to that and it may clear up any problem you had. It's definitely spyware though.

But seriously, you're going to get a lot of good Anti-Virus suggestions in this thread but I'd vouch for AVG until I'm blue in the face ha.
