5dimes deposits with U.S. Post Office money orders

does anyone here use this method to deposit and withdraw? i'd love some feedback..

the major benefits i see in it are:

1. no WU/MG hassles

2. can deposit a large sum in one go (you can send as many $1K money orders as you want)

3. you can then withdraw via postal money orders (good as cash anywhere)

yes, you do need to Fed-Ex them to CR (which takes 2-3 business days), but those fees are covered by 5dimes.

i've never used this method, but am surprised that no one ever seems to talk about it.

it seems like the safest method out there with privacy fully in tact?

Hey Motowner, I see there are no posted replies, but wondering if you were messaged with some feedback. I am interested in any feedback you get and how it is going for you. I would rather not be using WU/MG either, going to get postal money orders sounds much better.

i did both dep/wd with money orders. the process of waiting for the funds to hit account were a bit long. but wd was fine. only did 1 dep with mo and 1 wd (used bank wire for remaining $).

How long did it take for the funds to hit your 5dimes account with MO? How long was this ago though? And how much did you send? I assume u sent $1k per money order and sent a few of them together?

Bank wire? You mean for withdraw or deposit and how long was it ago? 5dimes doesn't do bank wire deposits nor withdraws. Unless you mean the ACH debit card option where they debit max $2500 to your bank account?

long story short.. bank wire was a withdrawal. limits got cut big time so i bitched n moaned and they just said they would send whole balance in wire. didnt ask for wire or know what they did. previous to that did mo withdrawals, which did not take forever. mailing mo to deposit took 8 days for money to hit. weird thing is i sent 7500 in mo and on a money my balance was 4000 and 3500 the next day. deposit was back in sept and withdrawal was in nov/dec.

thanks for that info. You get the mo from usps i believe and bought 7 $1000 and 1 $500 then ?

Never ever herad of them allowing a wire though.

got moneyorders from post office. think they may do cashiers check as well.

if i want to deposit offshore i would rather deposit by bitcoin or USPS money order
