Just watched the movie on Netflix again; I believe there were two killers acting as a team. Police could never match handwriting samples and seemed to be chasing their tails. Interesting case because of the publicity and the fact it was never solved.

I just re-watched this again too and have become obsessed reading about it. Remember the movie is not 100% accurate. The main suspect in the movie never matched DNA tests of even palm prints found on the letters.

I did watch this video and there is one guy friend of the main suspect who seems like he was in on it with the killer.
