Major League Baseball has agreed to suspension with 11 players in varying lengths for their roles in the Biogenesis case Monday, FoxSports.com has reported.
Alex Rodriguez was expected to be served with the harshest penalty, and announcement was expected later Monday.
The players confirmed to be suspended by FoxSports.com are:
Nelson Cruz, Texas Rangers outfielder (50 games, no appeal).
Everth Cabrera, San Diego Padres shortstop, (50 games, no appeal).
Jhonny Peralta, Detroit Tigers shortstop (50 games, no appeal).
Antonio Bastardo, Philadelphia Phillies reliever (50 games, no appeal).
Jordany Valdespin, New York Mets outfielder, (50 games, no appeal).
Francisco Cervelli, Yankees catcher.• Jesus Montero, Seattle Mariners catcher.
• Cesar Puello, New York Mets outfield prospect.
Fautino De Los Santos, San Diego Padres pitching prospect.
Sergio Escalona, Houston Astros pitching prospect.
Fernando Martinez, New York Yankees outfield prospect.
Milwaukee outfielder Ryan Braun was the first player to reach an agreement with MLB on a suspension for his connection to the Biogenisis case. The 2011 NL MVP accepted a season-ending 65-game suspension last month.
The Yankees had said they expected Rodriguez to be accused of recruiting other athletes for the clinic, attempting to obstruct MLB's investigation and not being truthful with MLB in the past when he discussed his relationship with Dr. Anthony Galea, who pleaded guilty two years ago to a federal charge of bringing unapproved drugs into the United States from Canada.

Rodriguez will be suspended through the end of the 2014 season in an announcement to come at 3 p.m. ET, sources told ESPN's T.J. Quinn. Rodriguez is expected to appeal and will be allowed to play until his appeal is heard.
The players' union made a late appeal to MLB for a deal for Rodriguez but was told there would be no more negotiations.

Fomer Detroit Tigers pitcher Denny McLain, no stranger to controversy, said today he wishes shortstop Jhonny Peralta had appealed his 50-game suspension for his role in the Biogenesis performance-enhancing drugs scandal.
“I would love to see him hang in there for the ballclub’s sake,” McLain said in a telephone interview with the Free Press. “He is more concerned with next year, starting clean, rather than helping the club this year.
“Everything’s about him. It’s not about the team. It’s not about the playoffs. It’s not about the World Series. It’s pure selfishness.
“All he wanted to do was put himself in position to get a multiyear contract for an awful lot of money. It clearly shows it’s all about him and nobody else. He might be a great kid and everything, but somehow or other, he took the wrong turn. Listen, everybody can take the wrong turn from time to time.”

McLain, the last 30-game winner in baseball, would know better than most. Commissioner Bowie Kuhn suspended McLain on Feb. 19, 1970, for allegedly conspiring with bookies.
McLain was suspended twice more that year — for dumping cold water on two journalists and for bringing a gun on a road trip.
The Tigers traded him to the Washington Senators after the 1970 season.
But trouble has continued to plague McLain in the decades since. He was convicted of cocaine possession in 1985 and sentenced to 25 years in prison. After he served 28 months, an appeals court threw out the verdict on a procedural issue, and the government decided not to try him again. In 1996, he was in trouble again, convicted of embezzling and laundering money, which earned him an eight-year sentence in federal prison. He also has been in bankruptcy court three times.
McLain said the three months he lost in 1970 cost him $45,000.
“I had a contract for $90,000,” McLain said. “Today, that’s what they make a day.”
McLain said his Tigers teammates treated him OK when he came back. And he thinks Peralta’s teammates would welcome him back as well.
As for how he thinks Peralta feels about being suspended, McLain said: “I don’t think he’ll get any real feeling for it until the paycheck isn’t there the next time. I think, then, a little bit of light will set in on it.”
But McLain pointed out how Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun is serving a 65-game suspension for performance-enhancing drugs but still will come out of it a very rich man.
“You know, Braun over in Milwaukee committed the greatest theft in history,” McLain said. “Robbed $100 million. Didn’t use a gun or a mask. It doesn’t get any better than that.”
