what's the price of a decent sized (2000 square foot) condo in a nice area?

i am thinking of buying one for a possible move in a couple years

probably should've bought a couple years ago when they were SUPER cheap

Summerlin is great, also out west on Tropicana is good..actually most stuff west is nice, and it's higher than the strip, so nice views

SUmmerlin is great. Henderson is ok too.

Avoid anything in North Vegas.

Crime is very undereported in Vegas so always be aware of your surrondings.

I have a house there is you need any other info.

thanks guys...

is summerlin one of the more expensive parts of Vegas? Is there a neighbor that maybe better for my needs?

Here's the must have list...

Proximity to Summerlin Hospital ~15mins or less
Safety, imperative the wife feels 100% safe when I'm not there..
Prefer to be less than $1000 a month, cheaper the better
2Br's would be ideal, but if it's 1 BR then that's okay...

It doesn't matter how nice the house is, afterall were only there for 3 months . I rather save a few bucks than have granite countertops...

I'd like the area thats best bang for the buck within 15 mins without jeopardizing the wifes comfort level with the area...

I played around on Vegas' MLS and shocked at all the cheap properties.. granted I know nothing of the area, so maybe thats why, but gotta believe thats a good call..

thanks for your help loomis...

I've started to find some good deals... Looking to max out at $1300 a month that includes rented furniture and utilities... because we have a mortgage back home too, hate to pay more than that for rent... It's a process, but been success in finding a good place both times thus far.. and Vegas is definitely cheaper than Denver

Damn man ... Enjoy Vegas. My wife is a nurse, but I could never talk her into the travel thing. It sucks to because I'm self employed so I pretty much work from a laptop and a cell phone. Before our daughter was born she could have worked almost anywhere.
