Washington -115 (3 units) - Part of being a successful baseball handicapper is knowing when to get on and get off a certain team when they are hot and cold. Braves are the hottest team in the league right now and are about to hit the Strasburg train head on. This is a bad spot for the Bravos off of a Sunday night win over the lowly Phillies. Washington needs this series a lot more than the Braves do and they should be tough to beat win their Ace on the hill tonight.
Minnesota +146 (1 unit) - Correia is not exactly the second coming off Sandy Koufax but then again Guthrie is no prize either. He also happens to be one of the most overrated pitchers in the league with the stats to prove it. Overlook his 11-7 record for a second and dig a little deeper. His SO/BB ratio is an underwhelming 1.5/1 and opponents are hitting a stout .336 against him for the year. For my money there is no way in hell I am laying nearly -160 on his arm. Twins have enough firepower to pull the upset and at +146 I will roll the dice on Correia and the Twins.
