I went to Maui about 5 years ago, my best friend lives there......play golf at Kapalua (there are two courses, I only played the one on the hill where they play the PGA event) play kaanapali as well, its not near the course but its a hell of a lot cheaper.....the road to Hanna (if you have a car, the drive is what makes it 30 miles takes 3 hours) locals drive crazy, and spend the night. Hike to waterfalls, seven pools or something like that.....bike down the volcano, bike ride is not all that cool but the view from the top and the temp change is crazy.....little bar on the road into kaanapali beach has a bar named Johnny's that is pretty cool.....have a good trip, prettiest place I've ever been

Seymour, I spent 5 in Maui many years ago and we did something awesome.

Pay the $250 a piece or whatever it is and get on the all day snorkeling trip. They'll take you to a few different islands and let you snorkel with some amazing fish and sea turtles. On the boat, they will provide all-you-can eat and drink.

Then, that night, they provide you tix to a luau and that will also be all-you-can eat and drink.

The money for the all day events is well worth it.

There's also a nude beach there that the locals talk about. I went up there looking around and it was a bunch of nude folks that shouldn't be nude.

Been to Oahu, Maui and Kauai, I really like Kauai, the waves tend to be fairly strong and we stayed at the Marriott Beach Club in a Bay which was perfect for surfing and bodyboarding for our level. We thought the area and property was quiet and had good restaurants near by, it can get pricey but they had many shops and ABC stores to stock up on supplies and fill the fridge, they will deliver a microwave to your room if you ask also. We played tennis with nobody around for $10 an hour including racquets and balls, rented fins and bodyboard for $25 for the week. Even if your staying somewhere else I think its a great area to hangout for the day. We did a kayak and hike tour to sacred falls, it was a fun way to explore the island. Have a great time Seymour!!

Maui top 3 for golf
1. Kapalua
2. Wailea
3. Makena

Haleakala is a must especially at sunrise. One word...majestic. Then grind some breakfast at Kula Bistro.
Lahaina for some touristy shit.
Maui wowee
zero nightlife

Kauai- only been there a few times for golf then flew out the same day can't really share much.

Hamura saimin
Fern grotto up Wailua river
Kona gold
Zero nightlife

If you feeling adventurous then a helicopter ride will give you views of a hidden Kauai which not many have seen. But be aware that there's usually a copter tragedy once or twice a year.

Outer islands is great for getting away from civilization. Oahu is where it's at for food, bars, surf, nightlife, & shopping all while still "keeping da country, country"

And by the way we don't have an accent... It's called pidgin, broken English, or moke. Cheeee whooooo

Damn you are making me hungry. ..lol

Only thing is I prefer waiola or ice garden over matsumotos...but matsumotos is the shave ice landmark here and is a must

Lanikai Beach on the back side of Oahu: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lanikai_Beach

You can kayak out to the Mokulua Islands ("The Mokes" or Twin Islands). Beautiful and very cool to do.

Also, take the drive to the North Shore and check out the badass surf spots. There are several food trucks there that serve shrimp. Go to one called "Giovanni's". It was on the show Man vs. Food. Very, very good!!

You should be able to get on the base and go to a beach called Bellows Beach. It is about 2, 3 miles long and practically deserted. Really cool being one of the only people on the beach. It's on an Air Force Base, but I'm pretty sure there's no one at the gate and the beach is open to the public. Usually it's only locals and military that go there. They sometimes shut it down to do military exercises.
