Complete bullcrap or true story. I've always been the type of person who believes so called paranormal events can be explained. However, I have seen something once in my life that scared me so much I saw a priest the very next day. I was sleeping in my college girlfriend's bed at the time and woke up to a dark mass standing at the end of the bed. I thought it was a dream but I could see the time and the fact that the sun was rising. I also saw her dog sleeping in his bed and everything in her room was crystal clear. For some reason I could not move but I felt the mass wanted to harm us. It was evil, something I've never felt before. I blacked out and woke up in a few hours. Our school was built in an area where there was a large Native American presence. I believe burial grounds were razed and buildings were built on top of human remains. No I was not on any drugs and I really was not drinking during that time period. The priest was not much help and basically stated I was feeling remorse for losing my faith. Typical church response. To this day I've never been more terrified in my life.

Never happened to me again but I could see everything in that room. What made it so real to me is the time on a clock supported the fact that the sun was rising. I could not make out a face because it was just a black mass. The very next day I went to see a priest; that is how scared I was.

I've also had what you described, as has so many other people.

Doctors CLAIM it's something called sleep paralysis...

I was diagnosed with sleep paralysis as well. The most terrifying thing anyone could ever imagine. I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy.

Luckily I haven't had an episode in over a year. In college it happend nearly every day because I had strange sleep patterns.

I found the obit for my ex girlfriend's father - the guy disappeared years earlier and no one knew where he was. So I gently showed my g/f the obit and , of course , she went into crying histerics for the rest of the night. She cried herself to sleep. Well.. about 3 AM and I wake up to scratching in the walls next to the bed. I simply thought a rodent was loose in the wall. Fell back asleep. Wake up again to scratching in a different wall... again.. I thought a rodent perhaps. I'm totally calm, just a little pissed to be woken up. Happens again.. and again. switching walls. I am like WTF ?? So around 4 Am a box in our closet just comes crashing down from a top shelf. Now.. I am sitting bolt upright and the hair on my neck is up. I got up and checked the closet, nothing in there, checked the house.. nada. Went back to bed... and meanwhile.. my g/f is not waking up to save her life. She is OUT. I tried gently rocking her awake... no deal. It was like she was tranced out and not responding at all.

I held her close and eventually I fell asleep again too. To this day I have no explanation. One part of me says it was all just random weirdness.. the other part of me says it was her father's presence in the room maybe saying goodbye... I don't know man.
