All this talk about jobs and interviews, made me think...

What are some mistakes/regrets you have with your Professional Life?

What was the single biggest break/opportunity you were given that you used as a launching pad for your career?

I once thought I regretted hiring friends, roommates and family to work for/with me. But it showed me who there real character was. Some I am no longer as close with. Others I am closer too. It was an expensive lesson learned at a young age but No regrets

This one is easy for me.

Have a better plan in college. You need more then good grades. You need to have a clear path layed out for yourself.

Years ago in college I had an opportunity to be a Budweiser Sales Rep...for an Independent Dist...

lost the job to his son...(job started out @ 35k + bennys+ car + OT)

Although, I have a successfull business to date...

I often wonder had I taken that path...what the outcome would have been...

No regrets...(would have never met my wife of 25+yrs, my 2 kids..etc)...

just wonder sometimes..:toast:

Truth

I coasted by the seat of my pants in regards to having a path laid out. Take this class, that class, two here, four there. Ended up with a lousy liberal arts degree, but im relatively happy with my career in education. Time off is great, freedom to do things my way, and I don't have a boss breathing down my neck 24/7.
