Except for the fact that Michael was offensively and defensively a better player than Kobe.

I think Kobe is great basketball player probably one of the best. But it's just hard to deny Jordan being the best above the rest. Jordan knew how to win found ways to win and motivated his team mates like no one ever. I think one on one with both in their prime it's close but Jordan is still the overall better player.
