The Atlanta Braves will seek to match a franchise record dating back to the 2000 season for consecutive wins tonight. Atlanta has posted 14 wins in a row building a 15 1/2 game lead in the National League East getting a win last night in game one of this series vs. Miami with HR's by Upton, Johnson and McCann. Everyone is asking how long will the streak continue but the Braves are in high gear at the moment finding ways to win and opponents may try everything in the baseball playbook to knock the Braves off and still come up short. Wood is 2-2 3.20 ERA overall on the season for Atlanta filling in the rotation for Maholm and Hudson. Wood allowed one Earned Run and two Hits in six Innings pitched in last outing and Wood's biggest task tonight will be keeping his composure and discipline with the possibilty of Atlanta matching a record in the balance. Wood will face a Miami team last in MLB in Runs Scored but will still need to have a quailty outing keeping basrunners to a mimimum and out of potential jams. Eovaldi is 2-2 3.19 ERA for Miami this season but has received no runs of support in four straight starts. Eovaldi is 1.42 ERA in last three outings and Atlanta batters may not have a cake walk at the plate tonight. Stanton is .108 with 15k's in last ten games for Miami but still is a heavy hitter any and everytime he steps into the batter's box. Atlanta has won 11 of 14 in this matchup and a win tonight in front of a huge home crowd will keep the town and fans abuzz anxiously hoping the Braves can keep the winning streak going onto the next day.
