Washington is 3-10 in this series in 2013 batting .178 ERA with only ten runs scored in last five games in this matchup. Wood is 2-2 2.78 ERA overall on the season for Atlanta with 2-0 3.08 ERA last four starts. Wood allowed two hits and posted 7 K's in six Inning Pitched in last outing. Jordan is 1-3 4.14 ERA overall for Washington and the rookie has never faced Atlanta. Jordan has allowed at least four runs in each of last two outings. Bryce Harper is 5 for 33 with two HR's and three RBI's vs. Atlanta this season and 6 for 40 last eleven overall. Desmond is 11 for 24 with three RBI's in last six games and also batting .333 hitting safely in nine straight games at Turner Field. Chris Johnson has .337 average but 5 for 32 with 11K's in last eight games vs. Washington. Jason Heyward is .179 in last eight games vs. Washington but .467 last seven overall. Weather has turned out pretty well this afternoon with sun so maybe at least one system has moved on through and they can start the game on time. It still may be hit or miss for the rest of the weekend however. Even though there has been a "buffer" game in this matchup since Harper almost charged the mound, tempers may be elevated easily if any ify stuff comes down the pike tonight.
