How do we even function in our daily lives when death is a 100 percent certainty?

Is it because we don't know the date of our own death?

Justin,

did someone in your life just pass away or are they sick or something man?....usually this causes us to put things into perspective and cherish every day a bit more. (at least in my life examples I have found this to be true)

Nah, just a question someone posed to me the other day.

He said if we all knew the exact time, date, and manner of our own deaths it would make life unbearable. Its interesting because its probably true.

Great post. If you are feeling that down Justin, go out and live your life to the fullest, right now. Take your negative energy and turn it positive by being thankful you are alive, healthy, ect. Posting on a gambling forum probably isn't helping your view on life. Especially if you cant pick a winner, it only makes things worse bud.

For those who believe in a life after death, there is more meaning to death than just "The End"

If you knew you were going to die in a plane crash over iowa on 2/28/2023 then why not drive to miami instead that day ?

Go have a beer and a fat spliff

+100000. A little whiskey buzz and a nice swimming head full of Mary will pluck your ass on a roof, staring at the cosmos, and loving everything about creation...regardless of religious beliefs or not. I try to live my life in awe of everything around me that isn't human.

It's not even that. Most people secretly think they are not going to die.

It was part of the study that found the optimistic mind bias. People never believe anything bad is going to happen to them.
