8/27 (10:10PM) - Chicago Cubs vs Los Angeles Dodgers

We get an easy win on the runline with the Dodgers last night & I think a play on the Dodgers is a no-brainer once again!
The Dodgers are of course healthy now, and Kershaw has gotten good run support lately. His numbers from his last three starts have been nothing short of great: 0.38 ERA, 0.71 WHIP, and .198 OBP.
Kershaw is bidding for a 12th straight quality start and is riding a 16-inning scoreless streak after holding his last two opponents without a run. Kershaw is 3-1 with a 1.61 ERA in four career starts against Chicago.

Travis Wood (Cubs) is on the mound for Chicago, He has an 3.22 ERA and credible 1.11 WHIP. However,Wood yielded a 4.50 ERA in his last three starts, getting taken for 4 in his last two against the Nationals and Cardinals.
Wood is trying to break a five-start winless streak, during which he has surrendered five home runs and posted a 5.16 ERA. That stretch began against Los Angeles on Aug. 2, when the All-Star was lit up for five runs on seven hits and five walks in 3 1/3 innings. Wood is 1-2 with a 7.65 ERA in four career starts against the Dodgers.

The Cubs are one of the worst against left-handed pitching. They hit only .227 in this regard, compared to .240 against righties. The ML is way too pricey for me, but I’ll take a stab on the runline again tonight and hope for the same cashed ticket ....

Pick: LA Dodgers-1.5
