The Atlanta Braves Paul Maholm is 9-10 4.51 ERA overall on the season and is coming off an outing where he allowed five runs in five and third Innings Pitched vs. St Louis. Maholm has posted a 9.16 ERA in last four road starts but will be back home tonight at Turner Field where Maholm is 5-2 1.93 ERA in seven starts this year. Atlanta anxiously hopes Maholm can deliver another quality home outing tonight vs. Cleveland. Atlanta picked up an Interleague win last night and may have Dan Uggla back in the lineup after a rehab assignment after corrective eye surgery. Masterson is 14-9 3.50 ERA overall for Cleveland and was 0-2 5.68 ERA over three previous outings before allowing only one run in six and two thirds Innings Pitched in last start. Masterson has never started against Atlanta but has seen the Braves in relief appearances. Atlanta has won 14 of last 17 at home and will look to keep Nick Swisher and the rest of the Indian lineup in check tonight. Cleveland had big troubles leaving men stranded on base last night and the Tribe will have to do a better job of capitalizing on scoring opportunites tonight. Atlanta continues to play solid defense with Simmmons leading the charge but tonight may be another tight contest so Braves cannot afford to make costly mistakes in the field. Maholm has the home numbers for success but still most go out and provide the outing the Braves have come to depend on. Source: ESPN MLB Preview.
